Makeover Tips
Whether you’re giving a full makeover or letting a Customer try a new product, keep the following tips in mind:
Do get inspired! Take a look at the new Face Beauty Book with Reese Witherspoon on the cover that explains how to select and apply the right foundation, concealer, powder and blush to help make your skin appear smooth and naturally flawless and give it a healthy glow. The Face Beauty Book is on special for $3.49 (reg $3.99); order online or on your C18 Purchase Order.
Do stock up on samples. Individual samples are the best way to let your Customers try actual products and shades.
Do wash and sanitize your hands before applying makeup. Use a sanitizing cloth or 99% alcohol, and let the Customer see you perform the hand sanitization step.
Do keep the work area clean by wiping it down with a disinfectant or alcohol.
Don’t use an applicator more than once. If a disposable applicator is not available, such as for mascara, use a new product and then give it to the Customer as a thank you gift.
Do use a disposable spatula to scoop out an individual portion from a full-size product if you don’t have a sample available. If you don’t have spatulas, try using the end of a teaspoon.
Don’t replace any product back into the container after it has been removed. It’s better to waste a little product than to risk infection.
Do cut foundation sponges into small squares or triangles so you can dispose of the mini-sponge after the makeover.
Do leave Customers with a written list so that they can order their favourites. Flag the products in the current Brochure if possible!
Note that the Great Customer Offer in C19 is on Ideal Shade Foundation! Ideal Shade Cream-to-Powder Foundation SPF 15 and Liquid Foundation SPF 10 are only 6.99 each with any brochure purchase.
Do Build Your Business with Demos. Take advantage of the “Build Your Business” Demo offers in your C20 What’s New insert. Buy Eye Makeup Demos and save up to 75% off Campaign 20 brochure prices.
